It’s either that OR you become very bitter, miserable, or unable to complete the task from the inner friction that compiles the whole way down... or worse you never start what you are trying to do in the first place
All food, sex, and literally anything will be so much sweeter when finally had after a long break OR if you are striving towards something that requires ongoing commitment (workout, diet, habit changes) reaping the rewards faster is only part of the feel-goods. It's actually proven the chase to our goals is where most of the pleasure is devised.
